Sign On: Worth It? Wise? Outside No Good Job Prospect? How?

Hi guys,
my bf in a trainee in PTI now, overall his physical not bad, and is pop on the 16/5. He wants to sign on as a PTI.
Hmm, would like to know what you guys think?

there are only a handful of PTI that are regular from my observation.
well...liking fitness, does not mean you have to work in that vocation.
ask him what he wants to do in life? -

hmm, he like the life of a PTI and he have been happy inside also, not say only in PTI, but when he was in bmtc and sispec, he kinda like army life, so i guess he have this military blood in him so he would like to sign on. =)

Hmm yeah i have to agree very little PTIs who are regular. My bf expressed interest in signing on and apparently, theres an interview coming up, his instructor says he have a high chance. -

We had to pass the SOC in FBO during our day, is not that tough once you had go thru it, the difficult part is your mind. -

Regular PTIs have to maintain their physical fitness through out their career as it is only their core value. It is rather rare to see a PTI become an Infantry trainers in school or units.Originally posted by pebb:hmm what about signing on as a PTI.. any advise?
Your bf got to take up more courses to enhance his value. My neighbour is a 1WO PTI uncle with Ranger tab, Air borned, TKD black belt and American air assault trained. These courses which he had gone thru during his younger days have made him more noticeable during any promotion or taking up a higher role in the SAF.
Imagine he is already almost 45 and so fit. -

Don't make me laff, PTI is the only creature that can clear SOC in FBO... all they know is how to conduct PT in the Army... what else can they do... -
In order for his contract to take effect even if he had sign it, he required to come in among the top 10% in his Fitness Instructor Course. If not PT & Sport will not accept him to be a regular fitness instructor...Originally posted by pebb:Hi guys,
