so you had just become redundant to the SAF.
most likely will post to a younger reserve unit or one that is going ROD when the time come or better still, SAF miss you out by the end of the day.
i got a friend who get a mail asking him to go for his 1st ICT after 8 years on holding list... hahahahaaaa.... he is a man and he get to join the younger guys
the guys chiong shua and he took a slow walk up... ROFL..... -

So anyone out there who is going for IHL and not been posted to Holding List?Because I've heard that the List is for NSmen going on to IHL.

in the past not everybody who goes to NUS or NTU gets into IHL, many get posted to existing NSunits, they simply defer for every ICT. Those in IHL will form thier NS units four years later.
With the new NS training cyccle, the first four years have more or less been reserved as more people go for further studies now(so the first four years are some kind of skills refresher etc, followed by 6 highkey trianing(battlion level cohesion type) after that is 3 years of low low key ......
something like that.....not very sure........a lot of changes these days........heard that recently, units can give up to two day early release from ICT for good performance, the NSman can stay at home for that two days or go back to work but be paid by SAF -

i suppose it depends on your term of studies and where your studing. My fren is in UK for 2 yrs and he is not posted back to the resevist unit.whereby me ..being only away for 1.5 yrs ....i am still in the ORBAT. i did ask my S1 regarding the issue of me not being posted back, and he said it largely depends on the duration of studies and where. Since i coming back this july. just in time for the 2nd ICT next yr ..as their ICT this yr is held in june .hehehe
