  are there any chinese who go to scdf instead of saf and spf for ns? or only malays n indians are going to scdf for ns?

  Yes, but my impression is that Chinese who get posted to SCDF tend to end up as ambulance medics rather than firemen.

  Have heard from people that as an ambulance crew you can come into contact with people ranging from suicide cases to AIDs carriers to people with suspected SARS.
  
  Sure you're less likely die by physical injury but then again, you're more likely to kenna the next time SARS or Bird Flu comes to Singapore.

  if ppl being posted to scdf.....most( not all ) wan to be Fireman bec of the pay....quite high...

  almost all of them are NSF except Seccoms( Sgt ) rota comd (Lta ).....but heard sm seccomds and rota comd r NSF.....
