  Some info for U100:
  1.it can fire grenade.
  

  The gas system has a regulator to increase power when operating in adverse conditions (or to cut gas flow off to launch rifle grenades).

  Think SAW its very flimsy ...safe to bring it to combat or not... my fren who handled SAW in mission complained this bit and here dropping off and losing them everytime... cant remember wat they told me ws it gas regulator or something like that..

  I've got a question is the Ultimax used by the SAF using 1:7" or 1:12" rifling? Same question for SAR 21.

  only three complaints:
  
  1. the mag's holding power sucks
  
  2. it's a bitch to assemble
  
  3. update the sights
  
  (wouldn't it be great if the saw can be fitted with a rail ? .... )

  It is one of the best weapon, but sometime not so good maintenance does not do it justice.
  
  Also there is people who don't know it , kept tell not true stories about it. Like it will misfire easily - that sure to frighten anyone from even think of carrying it. Next there is another misconception of it being jam by rounds easily, that is because last time there is ST build blanks that does not produce enough gas to effectively push back the bolt, not ultimax fault. You use the same type of blanks on M16 auto, it will jam m16 also. But is you use the german make blanks and live rounds. It work totally great.
  
  It is one of the rifles that has the least recoil, that make it so controllable. Truly in the right hands, and people that know how to treasure it , it is rated as one of the best weapon.

  The photo from my earlier post was taken at a shooting competition between the SAF and our neighbouring countries' militaries.
  
  Note: I wasn't at the competition so can't comment much on the details
  
  The C-Mag has gain quite a bad reputation from what I've gathered and I truly doubt the SAF are using them for the Ultimax, still using the original 100 round drum magazine. I believe the only time C-Mags were used on an Ultimax was in 'Austin Powers'.
