senior tech in airforce. anything to learnt??

  is there anything to learnt being a senior tech? any experience people to help?

  you learn how to maintain and service aircrafts and aircraft components.

  well it kinda defeats the purpose of being in the airforce. yes you're servicing equipment essential to the maintenance of the aircraft but you don't really get to touch the aircraft.

  1) more time on ground. unlike navy where I might have to leave the country for certain periods of time. yes, the money is better but having virtually no life is not what i want.
  
  2) technical skills learnt in army might not help me when i get out. whereas with the airforce there is a chance of me staying in the aviation industry, you just need to know what qualifications to get and you'll be on your way in this industry.
