i am not sure about the system now, but during my time the duty is rotated among the active arty GUN units(ie, not the mortars units). The book of the records will follow the active unit holding it, under the gunfitters. It records all the occasions where the gun carraige was used since the 1980s i think. frankly me personally still serving a active unit now, your mind set have to be right, positive thinking is very important... afterall NS can be fun by the way you think

I not sure is the same case but i heard only one survive out of the three. He gone insane after that. Anyway the place was been banned for training for many years, but i was fortunate to enter the place when the banned was lifted. And omg, the slope is really narrow and steep! I have a question... A few yrs back, a regular spec was ask to work in an enclose room from 8 to 5, 5 days a week, his job has a high tendency to exposed to high contend of poisonous n toxic substances. After a few yrs of working in those hazard environment, he feel sick suddenly with serious flu n block nose. Frequent visit to clinic doesn't help. After a diagnosis in hospital, he is down with nose cancer, n the doc said tat its the daily exposure to the toxic tat causes this. Hence, despite frequent treatment, his illness still cawnnot recovered. His teatment is so pricey tat all his saving was use up. In the end, he was broke n decided not to receive treatment anymore n the cancer took his life away.
he tried to discuss this matter to his officer whether he can claim the medical bill as his illness is cause by his working environment but his officer dun wanna help him.
What i wanna ask is SAF willing to take up the full responsibility to this type of job related death?? -

And yes,I've been in a position to check how many times they have used the carraige, but I never really noted anything from it. -

If the agent can be proven to cause his illness, the SAF will compensate unless the reason he was exposed was because he did not follow proper procedures and wear protective devices. On the facts, likely yes. BUT how many years back? There might be a limitation period, so its best he act fast. Also, i would say that he needs to discuss such matters with people who can actually do something. His officer can't do squat. I would say he needs to talk to poeple in G1 Br. -

Just to c0ntribute to this forum.
My advice to all is not to take enlistment to army is kinda of scary stuff, it can be quite fun at times, when u reflect back on it.
1) Place where guys stop their whinning in sch and home + gf
2)Boys become man and able to make decision making on their own.
3) Serve their countries (sound patriotic?)
Some may feel 'du lan' regarding the above points. But, pls think back... SAF has been trying very hard to make life easier for nsmens. the medical corp has also try to improve on their medical equipping, ie AED (if u guys know what it is).
Death in SAF is just like accidents on the streets everyday. U cant possible control anyone or everyone's health condition. Each and everyone should be responsible for their health being. That's why living and training conditions in the army have improved, so that soldiers are able to adapt and lived comfortably despite the tough trainings. Commanders are also trained in basic medical skills so that they can cope or deal with any emergency situations.
I agree that medical corp should do some reinforcement regarding the competence of the medical and the basic trained commanders.
I just hope that most of us think maturely instead of blaming SAF on all the things. The oganization has been trying very hard, do give them chance....
