y choose air force instead of navy or army?

personal preference? or maybe some think that certain vocation in the air force will have better prospect, where after u finish ur contract with RSAF, you will be able to be transfered to SIA?

becoz airplanes are more prestigious than tanks or ships.
every kid wants to be a pilot, but how many kids want to be a sailor or an ahmad? -

You will not be transferred... you have to try and take the LAE to make yourself valuable in the industry. Well,as a kid I have always wanted to be a pilot.A fighter pilot.But then...that was till I realised that the man on the ground is important.A infantry man takes combat to a realli personal level where each and every shot fired is clearly directed at each other.Sometimes the action may get so heated up that you can even see the face of each other.The thrill of being so upclose and fighting so closely to another person and knowing that every move either makes can result in the other being dead.
Unlike aerial warfare,combat takes place from miles away.With the technological aid of missiles,radar etc.While land warfare revolves around shooting the enemy in distances of less then 500m.Nowadays as our world gets built up rapidly,combat may even take place just a street apart.
Being a infantry or sf trooper to me feels really special as one is down on the ground where the metal meets the meat. -

well i think navy officers no3 and no 1 looks the best. Well i think navy ncos should have all the apulette (sorrie dun know how to spell) change to blue one with the singapura word in gold . den it will look nicer.

who cares about number 3? don't even wear it everyday... more like once-twice a year. -
