Medical status

Hi,
i've done my medical checkup few months ago and is about due to enlistment soon. Apparently during the checkup, i have problems with the hearing test, the MO have issued a letter stating my condition. This is what the letter wrote:
Normal duties
excuse noisy vocations eg armour, arty, signals, engineers, workshops, airfields, MDC, SAF Band.
Excuse Grenades & explosive permanently from 21 FEB 2005
Excuse Loud noise environment permanently from 21 FEB 2005
Most of my frens said it is quite weird that my status is PES B with my condition and they are not so sure what will i do in the army. Hopefully somebody here who is experience may give me some advice/guidance. Thks. -
Yeah, its damn wierd alright. You're pretty much seem unable to do anything in that condition. Don't let them catch you in pubs/bars/discos, you'll be in for it big time.
You not only lost your one chance in a lifetime to throw a live grenade, seem like you lost the previlege of firing rifles and other guns as well. -

Actually i'm not concerned whether to downgrade, i'm not really about chao
keng kia. Just would like to know what will i do in my NS life, what kind of unit
will i post to? Pubs/disco? Dun like to chiong but would go KTV occasionally
with frens. Haha -
1) service medic (combat medic supposed to be able to fire rifles)
2) clerk
3) non-combat related driver
4) HQ-side signals
5) orderly
etc (these are the ones that come to my mind)
basically since you can't even be in SAF band, you probably wont come anything close to rifles... means not even drill company in military police.
even RP is out.
so you'll be doing something service-side....
but on another note, if you dare, you can always make ur sgt shut up by showing proof of 'excuse loud noise' -

signal = dealing with communications network.
MDC = Music Drama Company, if u are a real man, don't go there. -
