Am 15 this year, watched it for the first time in my life.
Noticed 3 screw-ups at the Istana, it happened at the Istana
1)MPs were carrying Lee Enfield no.4s and m16s, a MP with a m16 dropped it on the floor by accident while performing the rifle dance/tricks, will he be punished? <---Most major screw-up
2)No 1.uniformed officer's beret got blown off by a gust of wind, partner behind him picked it up and put it on his head for him
3)One of the band member's music notes dropped on the floor and he picked it up
Chased the parade from Takashimaya to the back of Plaza Singapura
Overall the performance was impressive and intriguing i would certainly wish to be there for a second time
PS:There is this couple with an irritating bitchy girl who cannot stop commenting during the change of command at the Istana kept wishing for the worst to come, like hoping the rifle will drop on the floor, totally put off by her disgusting behaviour.

1)maybe will, maybe wont. depends on his superior. Somemore, it's the first time they are using M16 rifles to perform, they may not be used to it. Give them some time, they'll do well next time ba..
2)Sometimes things like that do happen when doing parades, it may be due to not wearing the peak cap properly b4 marching off. Well, someone has to help that poor guy without the peak cap... Btw, the guy in no.1 uniform is not an officer but just a LCP or CPL. How i know? i used to do all this stuff during my NS.
3) first time i saw this too...properly the wind too strong that day...
about wearing of the helmet, there is a rule that the helmet must cover the eyebrows, to look nicer. i guess that MP overdid it..
CaTch the COG parade on the first sun of every month, but maybe not aug or july, because they have to participate in the SAF day parade and NDP rehearsals. The starting pt is just beside HMV, opposite the Meridien Hotel
