  hey i just pass out frm bmt..was frm taurus ptp enhanced..anyone here noes how the posting works? like what kinda people wld be riflemen what kinda wld be rp/mp..and what kinda wld go to command sch...i wld like to go command sch but im a phd *poly halfway dropout . i did express interest in being a commander and i pass my ippt. this mite be a dumb qns but anyone here noe roughly where might i end up in?

  for ocs it is definitely out for your case as you needs at least a lvl/diploma in order to get in.
  
  for sispec you can get in provided you sign on
  
  most possibly you might ended up in vocations like rp/mp, infantryman, armourer, signaller, artillery rifleman etc

  not really true...I have seen many spec without dip/A levels
  my bmt instructor was one of them (nsf)
  
  but that was 6 yrs back, not sure now...

  Being a spec is not a problem for non-poly/a level pple..
  You dun have to sign on

  hmmm thanks for all the replies...so my chances of going sispec is low cos of my education level? there are some people in my coy with dips but they are really useless and not motivated at all...i am not saying i am garang/wayang but my performance is def better den most of my platoon mates...will they take this into consideration?

  Well, this is the sad thing abt SAF, focus too much on how well a person can study liao.
  
  A person who has leadership skills, etc but no education will most likely be look over.
  
  Most of the NSF dun see it during their NS days but when u begin ur reservist, u start to see those who dun have education but leadershup skills will start to shine. Seen a few PTE/LCP/CPL/3SG drive in more expensive cars than their immediate officers. Because in the real working world, education is not the most important factor.
  
  It is also due to this factor that during reservist that officers are more willing to listen to their men and poll their advice and experiences.

  do your best. i got one platoon mate only 'O' levels also can go SISPEC. nothing is impossible.
