e.g. scout commanders go through the scout course as CPLs, and become 3SGs after the course.

This is how your payslip look like, your rank pay stated in your contract is only one of the component of your total pay before deduction and currently you have not attend the Section Leader Course, so it will be vary until you fulfil as a combat specialist... I was a A vehicle Mechanic and have went thru a 6mths course in OETI to get my service side 3sgt rank. I apply for sign on after i ORD. Anyway all these isn't important cos i jus wish to know why such a big difference in the website and on my contract. I believe you haven got your first pay yet.
A regular pay is not made up of only rank pay and education supp.
It is made up of other allowances too, which will add up to be your total pay for that month.
Anything not sure just call CPC or salary center for army... really.... -

the reason is very simple, due to the fact that u are a mechanic during your NSF days and haven't been through SISPEC. u are just like any other trainee to them, just like a REC who sign on before or during BMT.

i think when CPC recognised your vocation as acombatant then your pay will change. i encountered service side 2nd Sergeant who went through SISPEC as trainee to be a combat spec drawing the combat rank pay even though they are trainees. of course it seems so funny having a sergeant within the platoon of trainees(PTEs)

Therefore i will only receive my actual combatant pay once i went thru both the sispec and the combat engineer course right? Sianz long way.... Anyway thanks guys. I will be enlisting on the 11/07.
