SAF serviceman dies during training exercise at Changi Naval Base
SINGAPORE : A 24-year-old SAF regular serviceman died during a training exercise on Wednesday.
Mindef says Second Sergeant (2SG) Ong Jia Hui was discovered missing during training in the waters of Changi Naval Base.
An immediate search was conducted and he was recovered.
He was given immediate medical attention before being evacuated to Changi General Hospital where he died at about 7pm.
Mindef says it is investigating the incident.

With all our training safety directive such accident still happen.... our Army are reputed to have best training safety system in the World..... so sad rite ? imagine if he is the sole bread winner providing for his younger bro sis .. old aged parents

when MINDEF investigates finish, they will not revealed everything to public 1...they do not 1 boys of age 18 to be afraid of going for NS...this is wat my social studies teacher told...

Another training accident??? Sigh....Was there when the 2LT was thrown overboard from the Fast Boat and drown a few years ago. The curse of Changi Naval Base??

my unit frd was the one who sent him to the hosp in the amb... heard he vomitting blood whenever the doc is trying to resuscitate him inside the amb
heard he knock onto something and fell into the see..
SIB all came down for investigation
The parents came down today for prayers, they are weeping badly..
I feel so sad for them
