i know its a stay in. But i did hear from a fren in RP different camp. he said that after 2weeks training its like 1 day duty 1 day off?

RPs in air bases are different than normal RPs. their couse is much longer and they got more things to learn and do. they are call FDS instead of RP.

Yes, for other RPs, its a 2-week course. But yur unit is Field Defence Squadron,
so u will have to undergo 3-months of stay-in training. So bring ALL yur army barang barang on the reporting day.
During the 3 months, u will go thru RP tutorials, telling u abt the laws of SAF and yur jurisdiction. You will also go thru basic infantry skills training like weapons handling, platoon/section live firing, chemical defence, FIBUA, foot drills...etc.
After training, u may be posted to another Air Base depending on manpower requirement, but most likely u will remain at Changi.
U will be performing RP duties in shifts, and dun expect 1 day, 1 day off. FDS does not have that luxury. The shift situation changes all the time, but the best u will get is probably 2 days on, 1 day off. -
so in other words i didnt get a slack job T.T. FDS and RP is the same except im doing more instead... Sigh. Nothing good about it

FDS in term are still known as RP right, drawing same pay and everything. So why is there a difference for RP in training Duration?

U draw combat pay, not service pay.
