Have a question abt smoking in camp.
Can bring cigs in for enlistment? And am I supposed to sneak it in or can just put in the pocket?

Just a gentle reminder,make sure that the packs you bring in are the duty paid kind.....not the "super value" pack that people get from Johor

u got be b4 team leader/ project leader in school project / CCA / any committee...
anywhere is the same... leaders can be trained OR born with it... -

Hello all.
i am currently 20 i will be entering NS when i finish my poly course,
i have a blood disorder called BETA THALASSEMIA i got this from my mother, and also BIPOLAR and SCHIZOPHRENIA. those 2 belong to mental illness.
i was in NCC during my sec sch days, and i have frequent black out due to the excercise.
here is my concern, i wish to be fit and able to take all the test and get a gold or silver without much struggling. i have look through the secrets of passing the nafa ippt, but i couldn't really understand the steps or number of sets to do.
can some of the experienced NSF give me some advice ?

u r strongly urged to declare ALL 3 conditions to the MO honestly.
if u have a doctor's memo, give it to the cmpb MO. if u have already went for the cmpb checkup, u can call the cmpb medical centre number 6373 1340 to get a fax number to fax the memo over.
pls note that the NS combat stress/physical threshold is much higher than any uniformed groups in secondary school. -

is it that serious ?i think am fine, i excercise here and there but not very virgiously.
besides it is my parents who got the mental illness, i just got a minor blood disporder.

it should be fine, but whatever it is, pls ensure that u have to declare truthfully, do not hide it.
some mental illness r hereditary due to genes (DNA), which means u may be more likely to develop it than other people.

I asking for a friend - my whole class got their pre-enlistment letter except me and the deadline for booking the medical checkup is due today 28/10. I'm liable to serve, but then no letter. sent email to the contact@ns now waiting for reply, but what's going on? should i start panicking?

Btw, for PES C is 24 months (2 years) right? Only PES A/B is 18 months (20 for Napfa non-passes). Or am i getting it all wrong...=/

The last time i emailed them, i got a reply in a few days.
PES A/B is also 24 months, 22 for those who pass napfa.
After medical checkup, will get your posting in a few months. Whether that test really got much effect i don't really know cos got people seriously do and anyhow do also get same vocations but might affect special vocations which i not sure.

That means you are posted to Navy, forgot where RSS Panglima is at, changi i think if not should be Tuas. Until you know your vocation, its hard for anyone to tell you much i guess.
