Going into BMTC2 on the 6th Jan 2009 at 9.30am. anyone similar?
Just to ask i heard that next year they will be issuing the new uniform (pixel). will i get the new set or the old one. which do you guys prefer the new set or the old set. i kinda prefer the new one.

I think most of us who have served already and seen the old uniform for 2 yrs or more would be more used to the old uniform than the new 1. There was alot of negative comments over the new 1 and i personally find it too 'green' as well.

hi people..i am new to NS like everyone else and i got a few qns
- whats the dif of POP and POC?
- Is there any video showing SAR21 arms drill because i damn blur with it until now
- Any "official handbook" showing what rules that u break will get you confined or DB?

POP is a larger scale event and conducted as a school for all the PES A/B RECs while POC is more done at a company level for PES C RECs when they finish their 7 weeks course.
Not sure of any videos of such things.
Most of the punishment is subjective, up to how your superiors choose to charge you but for a REC, lossing your rifle should be a DB offence, misfiring, reporting late etc can earn you confinement.
Once you get into a unit, it would depend on what unit you are posted to as different units do different stuff so its hard to say.

Hey i have a qus may need you guys help.
I took GCE A levels in a private school and its Private A level... but im in the PTP A level batch which is dec11 BMT, is there possibility that i can go to command school like OCS or SISPEC because im a private candidate??

Private or public shouldn't be any difference. Most important is your behavior there.

hey guys, im going into bmtc sch 1 at tekong on 8 jan 08. Im in pesA and just curious can i expect enough time spent on training such that there will be time for me to train up to be as fit as my peers or to the best i can. cos i haven been doin much training and hearing from my other peers whom are training ,im worried that my initial shitty performance will affect my opportunities. so hows it gonna be like? replies appreciated

Jan batch should mean you are going into BMT directly without PTP. Direct BMT batch have a very pack schedule as 9 weeks is a very short period and alot of less essential stuff that the PTP batch has already cleared during their additional 4 weeks have to be squeezed into the BMT batch training schedule.
Training might be tough in tekong if you haven't been actively training yourself and since alot of training becomes back to back, it might be hard for your body to cope well if you haven't been doing much training lately. I would advice you start some form of training yourself to get your body ready for what is to come.
Regarding oppertunities, if you are talking about going to OCS/SISPEC a IPPT silver is required if i didn't recall wrongly and the rest depends on peer/spec evaluation, SIT test etc which is more how you behave and how well you show leadership capabilities than your real physical fitness.

For IPPT, are there any test trials or a mere single testing date. anyway when ippt will be held out of the 9 weeks?

There will be at least 3-4 IPPTs held during the period. There will be 1 soon after you enlist to give them an idea of your ability to group for AGR run. The actual IPPT that is counted is the final official 1 i believe and not the earlier practice IPPTs.

Haha train hard before you enlist. You should have 1 month freedom b4 u enlist. Run like crazy.

U mean coming batches not using m16? then use wad? anyway how will the laundry system be like in there. like for instance like no. 4 wash ourselves?
