That depends on each unit as some units might have celebrations/cohesions etc and its up to the unit OC/CO to declare things like half day off.
one question.
i am currently C9L2, but pending medical board review and most likely upgrade to pes B. and also my promotion to 3SG is coming soon within a few months.
but the problem is, if i happen to upgrade to pes B only after i get my 3SG, do i still have to recourse BMT despite completing a PES C BMT? thanks
any C1s enlisting on Wednesday?????

I dont think so. I know people who are C2L2 and then upgraded to B but didn't recourse their BMT.

As long as you have completed a BMT, you won't be called up for reBMT even though you upgraded your PES as far as i know

P.S. He's Pes A and OOT after 1 week of BMT

Since u have successfully completed pes C BMT you do not need to recourse a normal BMT.

Yes,please do declare it.
Bring a memo from the doctor who prescribed you your medicine along with your medicine on your first day.
Your PC will conduct an interview on the very first day of your enlistment...or at least the next day to find out about your current condition. When you go for it,please sound out your medical condition and your need for the medication.Emphasize to your PC that the medication will cause drowsiness.
They will most probably ask you to bring along your memo and medicine to the medical centre for the MO to see. From there, the MO will advise your commanders as to how best to go about it.
hi, thanks for the reply. however, i don't have a doctor's memo as my psychiatrist didn't write me one. what should i do then?

If there is still some time before you enlist, say about a month or so,try calling up MCC @CMPB at 63731340/1341 to inform them about your medication and ask them directly if you can bring along your medication or what's the procedure you need to go through.
If you do not have time to contact them, then get your psychiatrist to write a memo about your current condition and the need for your medication.Tell him/her that it's for the army and they will understand.
I recommend contacting CMPB since they already graded you based on your condition.Keep your psychiatrist's contact details on hand when you call them as they might ask you for it so that they can refer to him/her about your condition if they need to.
Remember to sound out about your medication during your first day of BMT too even if you were given the all clear to bring along your medicine before that.

1) like secondary school PE lesson
2) ya... ur company n platoons all pes C pple... all sorted accordingly to pes c1 / c2 / c9...etc.
3) $420
4) eat time is 1hr... but after queue up for food, left 30 mins to eat the food up. bath time is if in between lesson timetable, got break then got time during day time quickly go bathe, during nite night is own time own target
Unless there has been a change if not mealtimes are abount 15mins only since you have to clear the canteen quickly so other people can have their food. The 1 hr lunch time is more for units and not tekong.
Bathing in cold water and totally without privacy, how long would you like to bathe anyway...

Some of them got cubicles but some of them are common shower.......why u do not dare to bathe?
Tekong showers all have walls inbetween but all no doors so when you bathe, others queuing can see you bathing. Why are you so worried? I would say most guys would get over any such shyness by the time they finish BMT.
i got delayed puberty, which is quite a rare case i think. Im just one of the unlucky few. :(
Since young, i faced many pressures and psychological probs with my classmates.
Frens who are able to accept me are very few, many are just so realistic that they shun away from me immed when i told them this.
It made me feel so worse inside to the extent of committing suicide.
Anw, i declared this to the mo but they said they still treat me normally.. i was zzzz.. they wun noe what kind of pressure i will be facing inside army..
Can anybody enlighten me on this?
Seriously i feel im gonna get a lot of mind-blowing pressure soon..
then go see a psychiatrist, get the psychiatrist memo, then call cmpb at 63731340 n ask for their fax no. to fax over the memo to cmpb medical centre for a re-medical review lor...
same procedure as this wat...

Eating time is definitely enough. You wouldn't want to eat alot anyway, bcos u wan to lose weight, u will tell the auntie to give less rice. Bathing time for my case was anytime. When you got free time, u can bath all u want. Afternoon when u come back from lunch u can bath also.
Anyway, regarding the bathing shyness part, dun worry. People there will be more concerned with quickly getting washed up and go do their own things (play psp, talk on phone) than actually looking at u.

The purpose of this forum is to help pre-enlistees so don't hesitate to clear your doubts. Most of the time people will still answer unless its the type of question that we see being asked all the time and the TS is lazy to search.
I would say most people feel some sort of pressure going into NS, some more some less but we sort of still managed to pass through our NSF life. If you have problems while in tekong, make appointments with the OO or your PC and talk to them and hopefully they can find some way to offer u advice or assistance. Commiting suicide is a stupid thing to do so don't ever consider it again.
