Hi all.. Can i ask? During BMT, when they book out, is there NOT a fixed timing? If they want to hold you till 2359 also bo bian? o.O

During BMT there is a FIX bookout timing because the ferry service does not work 24/7. Each company is schedule to take the ferry at a fix time so they cannot hold you back regardless how they try to threaten the recruits.

thanks for your reply.. So normally, i mean for those who went through BMT, booking out at 7:15pm is normal??

For fridays its usually in the evening, for sats its usually in the morning. Assuming there is no special training etc
The time depends since all the companies in the school will bookout around the same time and each ferry can only carry a limited number of people so the range in bookout timing can be 1.5-2hrs depending on the order which the companies are allocated
Hello, i have a question here.My friend just enlisted weeks ago, while he was in Pulau Tekong undergoing his BMT, he cracked his wrist, and was sent to CGH, where he subsequently acquired a week of MC, and was scheduled to return to CGH for a review. He then received MC for a period of 2months. He returned to his company line in order to endorse the MC, however, he was not allowed to bookout, and was told that he has to bookin again after he booked out the following weekend. This decision was made by his OC, any idea why?

Maybe tekong dun accept his MC and wants him to still return and help out with admin stuff since he still has 1 hand usable. Regardless what, just obey instructions and see how things go lo.
Lol puzzling.Isn't MC a form of sick leave which exempts you from returning to camp?People on MC are not even required to return to camp on the call of mobilisation, which makes me wonder why a captain is authorised to ignore the ATT C status of a NSF without first voiding the MC.Furthermore, my friend was not given clerical duties, he was made to follow the rest around while they were on training, though he didn't participate in the training.

Was the MC endorsed and accepted by the MO as valid and he can be on ATT C in the first place? MC by doctor is often accepted by MOs but sometimes MCs might not be strictly followed if they feel that the problem does not require u to stay at home through and they can just give u excuse UL etc and make u return to camp.

Since 24th Dec will be 12 days in camp, that should cover ur confinement week already so there should not be extra confinement unless due to training schedule but such weekends burn will have offs given.

oh ok thanks! will i be doing bmt with my mates that i will meet during ptp?

Yeah. U will not change coy. The PTP batches will stay in the same coy together till POP and the direct BMT batches that enlist will be in other coys.
Btw, if i am not wrong, the new enlistment starting from Dec is changing the 13 wks PTP to 17 weeks PTP since they adding 1 more month to PTP. This will make the BMT batch enlist 2 months after the PTP batch and let them all POP at the same time rather than the staggered time now.
hey just a question, do people who enlist on the same day and at the same time go into the same coy? what about same day different time? and what the heck is sch3 new school arh? haha sorry spamming qns

There are generally 2-3 coy having enlistment on the same day so same day same time has a good chance of being together but still might be different platoon. Same day different time might be same coy or different coy depending on how far the time difference is.
Never heard of a sch 3 yet. The only 'new' coys i know are the 2 or 3 new coys that are now using the former SISPEC camp but they belong to sch 1
