Enlistment is usually 6months to a year after medical checkup IF you have gotten your PES status.
The online portal cannot have been down for months since others have been successful in checking their status recently. If you are not using IE to access the page, try using IE since certain pages don't load well in firefox etc.
even with IE it says the thing is temporarily unavailable. ive been trying for months sia..does it work on yours?

Which part can you not login? To ns.sg itself or to the check enlistment page?
enlistment page...last time i tried, i only needed to key in NRIC(status was pending). now its permanently unavailable

Its unavailable to me as well but your enlistment should not be anytime before Apr since all of them have got their letters.
Just ask your family or relatives whoever you put the mailing address as to help you check the mailbol for the letter or wait for the eservice to be working again.
so it will be in july or something? die!! cannot wait so long. waste of time

Its normal for everyone to enlist at least 6 months after medical checkup. For those who are overseas, they will mostly still do NS with peers of their batch and not before to ensure fairness.
Currently the enlistment dates after Apr is unknown though i would expect the next to be late Jul or early Aug since the Apr batch won't leave tekong till late Jul. Until some enlistees come to update us, we can't confirm but just keep checking ns.sg and you will get it sooner or later.
My elistment is on the March 5, 2010! PTP for 8 weeks than 9weeks of BMT. Interestingly my NAPFA had been tampered with somewhat. I recall every year I can get Silver in breeze, but apparently, not this year. Weird. My friend failed his Pull Up still can acheive sliver.

If you want, you can choose to retake IPPT at Toa Payoh Stadium before your enlistment and if you do pass, your enlistment will be delayed and put to the 9 wks BMT batch.
However do note that the Apr BMT intake might be full so you might or might not get a Apr enlistment should you have it delayed.

Is okay lah, end of the day, if pass, and delayed, isn't as good as dragging my ORD date to a later period?

The sooner you get it done, the lower the chance but of cos i can't give you any promise.
There are some people who consider 2 months reduction alot and some who don't so its up to the individual.
However personally i would prefer PTP cos its less packed compared to BMT and the training is slightly more progressive in terms of route marches compared to BMT where you have alot less time to get used to it before they increase the distance.
Eg PTP can do 3-4 times a 4km route march to condition themselves before moving on to 6km etc but BMT will have at most 1-2 4km route march before going directly to 6km.

That's what I'm thinking too, with me right now training up and with another extra two months, I'd be training for a good five months for BMT.
By then I should be ready for BMT.

Thats good as well. My time, there were people who could pass BMT who choose to go for PTP so they would be more conditioned to the training and can perform better.
Good luck for your NS and feel free to post any questions/queries you might have now or in the future :)

Thanks! Soon, not now, but soon! Just one question, will you able to get to book out during PTP period?

There is the usual 2 wks confinement at the beginning and after that you can bookout on all weekends if there are no weekend trainings. Off will be given if there are weekend training such as field camp which will surely eat up 1 wkend.
There will be no 2nd confinement during the BMT period so the PTP ppl will bookout while the BMT ppl are confined.
