Rare Badges You Have Seen Before in SAF

  what are the rare overseas badges u have came across worn by SAF personals? lets do a count and see how many are there.

  US Navy SEAL's Trident badge, and the US Special Forces are rare ones for me.
  My fren claimed to have seen Indian Army jumpwings..don't noe how true ..hahahaha

  actually that's the most common foreign jump badge around (since the topic is about "rare" badges). lots of people in the cdo fmn have thai wings. somewhat less common are indonesian, us and australian wings though you can still see them around now and then.

  During my NS - my CO had a German ranger crest and German airborne wings.

  Another one - in an old book " South-East Special Forces" (Osprey series) by Ken Conboy, there is a photo of SAF Commandos with their CO wearing Israeli parachute wings (1987).

  Quite a number of people in the navy has this Swedish insignia.

  Have seen quite a bit though.... other than the common thai wing and indonesia kopassus wing... below are some less common foreign badges that you'll see on some regulars... especially on Commandos and NDU divers...

  Rather common... especially on regulars that trained with the US army...
  
  
  German Wing
  Extremely rare, have only seen it on ex NCC commandant who did his training in a German military institute...
  
  
  Australian Wing
  Rare... worn by former CDF LG Lim Chuan Poh
  
  
  French Wing
  Have only seen it once... on former commandant OCS...
  
  
  US air assault
  rather common badge... especially on guards and infantry officers/WOses. This course i heard has been terminated...

  Another one is the Taiwan UDG (Underwater Demolition Group) Insignia. Can't find the pic. So far seen those wore by divers.

  Sort of similar experience but not badge .. my S3 (who was a regular) in my former reservist unit had an Isreali paratrooper helmet, which he used instead of our kevlar SAF one. From a distance, can't notice. But nearer, you can see that it is flat at the brim all around and its profile is a bit wider than our kevlar one.
