eh, Par si ris camp ? ....
During my time it was HENDON camp, (year 2000) been away from Singapore a couple of years now, has the camp moved ? ... our trainers were NSFs grabbed from other companies who've turned ops, (cpls, 3rd sgts), platoon sgts were mostly regulars, longer ? nope, same as tekong, diff is that the SOC has no concertina wires

cos you'll be doing 5 click soc later on ... (10 click if you go leaders course) ...... the really fun stuff will start after BMT
but i guess i have no right to say much though, as i never got the red beret in the end (downgraded, loosen shoulder tendons, dislocates easily ...) since you're going in, have to warn you about taking care of yourself, don't be afraid to sound out if you have a (physical) problem, the trainers will insinuate that you're chao-kenging for sure, and reporting sick at hendon is like going into a concentration camp (during my time, the MOs were fuckers who treats everyone as a chao-keng case until proven otherwise, and will ask the medics to drip you for anything to give them practise...) push yourself, do your best, but be mindful of your body's signals ... don't end up like me, not being able to play tennis or badminton anymore, and sometimes wakes up in pain because a shoulder joint pops out at night ...
On the other hand, remember that what you achieve in your 2 (2 years now already ? ... ) years will stay with you for the rest of your lives, even though i can put my head up high and say i truly did the best i could (9.00 2.4, not the best of course, but respectable even there ... ) and it was something unforseenable, ... i still count not getting a red beret one of the big regrets of my life ..... This goes out to everyone going into BMT too ... there will be times when you're tired and dirty or got stuck on weekends etc .... and you'll start comparing how good a life others have in other camps, vocations, etc ..... just remember that years down the road, all these will be treasured memories,.... make them all good ones .... don't have any "what ifs" in your 2 years of wearing number 4 .........
