last time at 3rd division i saw those warrant officers, majors and some staff sergents doing it.
at first i thought something is wrong either with my eyes or what.
then i look around and i saw BG Loh Wai Keong standing there. WTF

In the reserves, the junior officers (LTAs ) and specs will help out. Can't stand around supervising too much. Most infantry men have a lot to do already. If they can't finish the job, we are also in sh...t ! That's how I saw it.

If he does not need to rush off to prepare for some debriefing, he would be helping us unload store when our jeep return from training and had seen him just took some rags to wipe dry those stores that were soak in the rain.
His theory is that we are all back for ICT whether we like it or not, so let's do a good job while we are in it and get out in one piece. An officer that I am willing to salute from the heart and not just for action only. -

Company 2IC (CPT), 2 officers, CSM, 4 PS (including myself as I was Butt OIC), Specs and men of 425 SAR 'B" Coy and HQ attached personnels climbed up Khao Yai to set up Butt in Crescendo for Lima Foxtrot at temperature of 30-42 degree C.........
For 3 days......up and down we go....carrying iron pickets, monkey ramp, oil drums, target boards, pick axes......the gradient is steep that we need to climb up on all fours.......
Everybody came back like chilli crab.......sun burnt.... -

any Officer worth his salt should join in,
i remeber my first LRI with a skeleton unit, my regular S4, RSM, BSM, NSF QM and MTO officers together with drivers, storeman, clerks all join in to clean and oil the our arty guns on a sunday. Same thing happen during preparation for NDP the next year, that one even more coolie work. -

I remember during one of the ranges for my unit(it was ORD range for me),got many 19 yr old air level sect coms stood one side,TCSS while watching their men fill up sandbags and carry them to the firing area.I being a non SISPEC trained spec and who rose through the ranks understood how it is like to be a man,so I helped them out.The sect coms gave me a puzzled look and carried on their TCSS sessions totally oblivious to the hard work their men were putting in while carrying the heavy sandbags.
Oh yes,range admin stuff like tables,documents,the sect coms also lazy to carry and set up...
My unit was really fu-cked up.After range,all the PSOs,OCs,ordered pizza and went to the mess to relax.Their rifles need to clean right? Well,you know who did it for them.
Thank goodness I'm outta that fu-cked up place!

SAF Shooting Contingent formerly at Nee Soon Camp now at Mandai Camp. Officer was seen cleaning toilets alone on his own. After which he proceeded to clear up the entire HQ Office.
