Probability?

  Will be enlisting in September.. PTP batch..
  
  Wanna ask, what's the probability of Dip holders to become a man after BMT? I heard MOST Dip holders go to SISPEC..
  Cos i don't wanna go unit be man after bmt, hopefully get posted to SISPEC (at least!) Actually i anything lah, Guards, OCS, SISPEC, whatever, just dont wanna post to unit to be man only.
  
  Also wanna know, is it hard to get into Guards? Have to go SISPEC first, or after BMT directly posted to Guards?
  
  If let's say, during BMT, not outstanding, nor lousy, just in the middle average. Most probable is post to where?

  noe y most DIP holders go to SISPEC?
  cos OCS intake not as much as SISPEC,
  so of cos more pple go SISPEC.
  abt top 10% go OCS.
  
  if u want to join guards:
  1) sign on
  2) posted to guards as man straight after bmt (not that high chance cos guards have their own bmt intake but they do take pple from bmtc to become guards recce trooper etc...)
  3) go SISPEC, pass out as infantry sergeant, post to Guards. (but must depend whether Guards having intake anot, they dun have intake for every SISPEC ASLC batch)
  
  if not outstanding nor lousy, i tink should be able to make it to SISPEC
  but there's chances of being posted out as man as well.

  You will almost be certainly going to sispec, unless you chose to downgrade or make yourself seem useless.

  Going to Guards also means being a man wat
  Anyway unless you go to SISPEC or OCS, u will be a man no matter wat but not as in the rifleman type la..
  Anyway there are other spec courses available..so it depends..It also depends on how u did on that computer to see if u have the potential to be a spec (non-combat type)

  September should be the Support batch. meaning most BSLC people will be going to Support formations like engineers, signal, artillery etc.

  some sergeants n officers i c really cant make it...
  n some man i c they really have gd leadership
  maybe is they dunno how to wayang during bmt's SITest.
  
  but then again, there r of cos gd officers n sergeants
  if u r an officer, be a gd officer
  if u r a sergeant, be a gd sergeant
  if u r a man, excel in wat u do

  I think u misunderstood my meaning. To me, since got to go in for 2 years, might as well make the best out of it. So might as well go command schools. Of course, i don't mean being a man no face, you misunderstand me.

  Don't forget the technical vocations too.Specialists form most of the technical staff in the SAF too.
