hi..i would like to find out from all SAF regulars and ex regulars on issues regarding the "Minimum Term of Engagement." My brother signed on under the joint Poly Diploma Scheme which indicates that he must serve a minimum period of 5 yrs to complete his full NS liabilities. However, he is bonded for 6 years under the contract.
Will the organisation let him go for an early release after he has completed his MTE, provided he is willing to pay for the pro rata LD?
Or does he has to finish his 6 yrs before he can leave?

if i'm not wrong he HAS to serve the minimum 5 yrs because of NS. but if he wants to leave after 5yrs... he has to pay.
then 6yrs onwards no need to pay.

Depends on individual lah...where got all sux? Some ppl dunno how happy to be regular...
