i have enlisted for Ns by The voluntary early enlistment scheme.. i jus recieve a letter few days ago saying tt i have to report with one of my parent for the signing of the forms of acceptance at CMPB..
anyone has any idea on wat is the form about..
in the letter it also says tt i've been scheduled for enlistment on 09/09/2005 i found out tt many of them have been posted to 30 SCE on the very same day.. i have only got o'levels, m i able to be posted to a combat unit or in this case 30 SCE ??

30 SCE is a combat unit, u will becum field pioneer/engineer in this unit.
Here u will learn about explosives, bridging, planting and clearing of mine field. And last u will do lots of 'sai kang' which what combat engineer is famous for.

30 SCE is a combat unit. -
when i registered for VEES in april. i had to visit a Doctor locted at CMPB itself for some questioning.. i tink to check if im nuts to enlist early.. my mum was there.. n if i remembered correctly she did sign some papers.. but nvm..
i was wondering if the underaged can get into a combat unit.. i will be 17 next month.. -

Of course you can go to combat unit with O levels. Lots of the Infantry people are O levels or lower. You don't need A levels to point a rifle and pull the trigger, or in your case probably lift lots of heavy things and do super "siong" work.

You do not need to be able to write to dig holes, sweep floors, walk, stand still, say 'YES SIR! NO SIR' and perorm other micellaneous sai gang.
