i'm currently on medical board to be downgraded to C9L2 due to a slipped disc.
but before i was put on medical board, i alreadi was re-vocationalised to become an RP.
i mean.
isn't this ridiculous? CMPB mistake issit? where got slipped disc pes C9L2 become RP one?...
grrr.. ani1 else also experience such screwed up vocations? (i haf a fren excuse loud noise who got posted to be a rifle man...)

i have a friend who is pes b but was posted to combat support hospital and do nothing but sleep most of the time.
i was pes c but went for battalion exercise, field camp, live firing at taiwan until my unit stood down. -

go report sick and tell the MO... dun play play...slip disc is not something to play play wif...can be paralysed one leh.

When I was still in the Force when Ang moh soldiers came, they also laugh, S'pore RP consist of all shape & sizes. And not garang enough....

Ya.. I totally agreed with u as health is very impt.
But compare to being a Combat Engg & Mechanic which is more "siong"? RP in Camp or Bases is differ from Istana guard. The latter gotta stand straight whole day like a statue. (cant even dig nose)
Whereas RPs got shift and u think they are discipline enough like their counterpart over at Istana??? They can tok cock, walk around like monkeys...

hmm... i'm not tryin to siam anything la. my mentality is to serve and f.o. after the 2 yrs la...
but my slipped disc is even hindering me from sitting down in front of my computer for too long or sittin down in de cinema chair to watch a movie... gee... the pain's kinda bad sumtimes u know... ppl wiv slipped disc would understand la...
my vocation now is still a RP... thats bcuz i haven reported to my new vocation.. undergoin 2 wks of intensive physiotherapy now...

nowadays RP got air con room......only occasionally press a button to lift the barrel where got stand outside like statue unless u r in the istana maybe occasionally u have to salute to an officer only at night the guard duty personels take over where got siong.

anybody can be a RP, big, fat, tall, thin all shapes and sizes. yes even PEC C people too.
Obese can be RP, fail driver course be RP, storeman upgrade also be RP. fail IPPT, fail SOC fail this fail that also can be RP. in short being a RP doesn't even any skills, anyone can be RP. -

FDS and CDS are a different breed of RPs.In fact, I would not call them RPs..but rather Base Defence Troopers..more like Infantrymen cross trained with POI and RP skills..
