Anyone here Likes their RSM here(Wondering who) or Dislikes??? and Y?

No one during their years in service like RSMs. They are the discipline master of the unit and always put the word "I charge you" whenever they speak to the specialists and men. However, they are doing their job lah. Some of them whom I had came across are very delicated warrant officers. I wish to highlight one particular RSM, SWO Chandran Nair, the former Armour formation RSM. He is such a discipline military man. He wears a heavily starched No. 4 every day to work. -
I think the most sad case is the RSM from SAFTI SSU...red beret and got ranger badge,sinper badge...can do 2.4 under 9.45 and hes in his 50s...I see him call my fren (2LT) sir really feel sorry for him sia....even my fren said tt he felt very uncomfortable when he does tt....somemore everyday get 2 see him....

SAF RSM SWO Gunga in my opinion is a very nice RSM. saw him countless times, even spoke with him once. whenever he comes, he'll always wave and smile at us. i never seen him frown or show us a stern face before like what most RSM will.

Rank is what you wear,Respect is what you learnt,sometimes even those Officers look up to the RSM's who happen to be of lower ranking.

the DETC RSM, 1WO Wong is also another great man i admire, a fatherly figure. during this year engineers' day parade, he was the contingent 1 RSM, the contingent i was marching in. one morning during rehearsal, seeing the SAF band has not yet arrived, he offered to provide the 'broom' 'broom' drumroll for us to rehearse. even now i can still rememnber his 'broom' 'broom' 'broom' sound. unforgetable.

i rememeber after the parade, he even make it a point to thank the men for a job well done. -
all RSM is lid sht. All comes with a sht face

wow, you so lao jiao, you must also know legends like SWO Ong Hui Peng (AI), one of the 3 WOs who were first to be promoted to SWO during the mid 80s. Those were the time. unit always have 1 to 2 recruit company. Recruits are trained by unit, you may be sent to school for courses, but will be back to your same unit. Unless something happen, you ROD (Now ORD) with the same unit.

in the parade square, we still respect each other alot. -
We know most of the RSM in the same formation(only a handful of them), though after so long have forgotten their name, or some of the faces, but once we sit down and start to talk, all the good old memories will come back....
