under-rated? the engineers definately. just look at the things we are doing, we should jolly well be considered a combat formation.

I think logistic is the worst. Most under rated. Take a look at all the logistician like drivers, cqms, storemen etc. All these ppl help to supply n move the army but all treated like some dirt. Without them, nothing can operate in SAF.Originally posted by n3o1984:Hw bout logistics -

let me go through what the engineers do and u all decide for yourselves.
the engineers has 3 unit that deals with dangerous and hazardous stuffs that might cost them their lives anytime.
the CBRE engineers from 39SCE that deals with biological warfare.
the EOD engineers from 36SCE that deals with bombs.
the field engineers from 30SEC that deals with mines.
and not forgeting
the amphibious engineers from 35SCE boat coy that ride the waves.
the bridging engineers responsible for setting up the bridges.
the construction engineers doing all those contruction work.
somemore the engineers operate some of the biggest meanest machineries around, the VLB, AVLB and FLB just to name a few.
i think we seriously deserve more credits. -

in fact all units are important but of cause some have to be in front while some have to support from the back.

at least enginners build bridges and signals play with expensive equipments. infantry walk mindlessly for hours then when they are most exhausted, the firefight begins. Damn stupid.
in war probably the combat units are first to die. engineers only come into the picture after the junction is secured and the road is clear. Every strategic junction you pass by is secured using the blood of guards/infantry soldiers.
engineers and signals get their own pride from the work they do. Infantry no pride from any work they do, hence must give them BCU and GOH chance or they zero morale.
i'm not flaming or something, just ranting.

LOGistic people imho, in every combat unit, most of the COs don't bother about log ppl, all they want is their equipment hahah
