State Colours and Regimental Colours of the SAF

  This may be a stupid question, but what happen to 2 guards?

  and why were 2Guards disbanded instead of 3Gaurds? Especially seeing that 2Guards is an older unit.

  The SAFTI State Colours is on the left, observe closely and you will be able to see the scroll in blue. It is only paraded during OCS Commissioning Parades (as far as I know...).
  
  In the past, many units had both the State and Regimental Colours (Ie. 1st CDO BN). After a revision of the Colours system, all unit State Colours were retired, but the SAFTI MI State Colours was left untouched. The unit State Colours look similar to the SAFTI MI State Colour, but the scroll would be inscribed with the name of the unit.

  There is no SAFTI MI State Colour... Regimental Colours are awarded to the Formation or Units about five years after its birth. They bear the appropriate crests or logos of the respective Divisions that they belong to. State Colours are given to Services and SAFTI MI for being an international institution.

  I don't understand what you are trying to say. You stated there is no SAFTI MI State Colours, then the last line you said there is. Regimental Colours are not awarded to Divisions, only units. There are 4 State Colours in the SAF, namely SAF (Army), Navy, Air Force, SAFTI.

  not necessary must be youngest lah. if the youngest is fat and short or with bad reputation, do u think the unit will choose him?
  
  so the lucky guy must be the most promising junior officer who meet the height requirement.
