2 Guards was situated at Lim Chu Kang Camp 1 which currently occupy by 4SIR.
Due to manpower plus to change the wrong mindset that the so called reservists are only in reserved status after they ROD, Reservists are called NSmen after they are ORD(instead of ROD).
Before that, all the active Bde and Bn were only come under 3 DIV and reserved Bde/Bn under 6 DIV, 9 DIV, 1 PDF and 2 PDF etc... A major restructing of the Army Div and Bde was called for. Every DIV holding active and NS Bde/Bn and each active Bde has 2 x active Bn and 1 x NS Bn instead of 3 x active BN
7SIB is the only active Guards' Bde before 21 DIV was formed (holding 3 x active Guards Bn), so 1 Bn need to be disbanded and 2 Guards mono ORD date fall during that period when restructing. -

I served during the time when there where 3 active Guards battalion. There was once a Brigade level gathering - all 3 battalions plus the brigade HQ guys were there.
