A typical day in SISPEC

Hi everyone, i jus finished my field camp, live range and live grenade. Now doing BCCT, SOC and some other shits. I am POPing in say 4 weeks time. After that i will be going to SISPEC as i signed on as a SPEC.
Firstly i will like to apologise to the admins for starting a new thread on SISPEC.
Can anyone tell me what happens in a typical day in SISPEC? Do we really have to put on camo everydae?
How was the schedule like? i heard we have only 6 hours of slp instead of the normal 7.
Will there be any route marches? will we be having our field camp overseas for 9 days? Will it be more siong then BMT?
Which coy is more welfare coy in SISPEC?
P.S. I will only go through 10 weeks BSLC and will not have to go through ASLC as my ASLC is in Stagmount camp. -
After all the theory and practical tests, lets just say you'll be drawing blanks every single morning without fail.
And every night, you'll be drawing maps in the dark, because lights out already and you need the map the next morning. -
hmmm.... a signal spec.
regarding your questions, i only know a few of them.
it is definitely more siong. the numbers of hours you sleep will depend. some time you will sleep as late as 2am then wake up at 5. last time i heard that charlie and echo coy to be slack, not too sure now. -

if i still can remember, i have like 30++ of section training in BSLC.
(i.e in BMT you have SOC lesson1, 2, 3, etc.. until the test date right?)
And there will be intensive weapons training on the first week of BSLC.
Other training include topo/IPPT/SOC/demolitions.... -
I didn't have much soc training in sispec, but had so much section training, aiyah never mind lah.

i occasionally get 8-10hrs of sleep on some days...nearly had canteen break almost every day...i think some of u guys noe wat company i'm from..hehehe..make a guess

that's about it really, the rest of the section/platoon training are all 1 day affairs, which means u get to come back to the camp to sleep. of course there's the 2 navigation exercise gypsy and wanderer but they are still also 1 day.

SISPEC is everyday outfield one leh, if one day no outfield must be bad weather or some cock reason. C'mon lah, go outfield standard is camo on one lah, and touch up throughout the day. -

especially bslc....its dubbed as BMT part 2.....
IPPT must pass....SOC dont need to pass...
Pass ure navigation test which is called exercise wanderer....which is easy after going thru ex gypsy 1 and 2...all are 1 day affairs...
then ure weapon tech handling tests...for sar 21....m203...SAW...Matador....
then got ure summary exercise which is now called ex catwalk instead of grandslam...3 days 2 nites of section movement...where u do quick attacks...immediate assaults....fire movement and retrogades as a section...
then u learn platoon defense and offense....just brush the surface kinda things...
then to our beloved nutcracker....3 day 2 nite of digging and reinforcement drills...
not forgetting u go for range.....blow up claymores and bangalores and ure chemical defence lessons....and ure section live firing

all the more, regulars should receive tough training! think the reasons are obvious.

however, as for whether its chicken feet and whether there's field training every other day, i think it MAY differ slightly depending on the coy. so perhaps let's not give people here false expectations (or disappointments, if they actually love outfield training).

now got TSR liao, they will try to give u 7 hrs of slp IF possible.
if cannot, then can only lan lan suck thumb.
most of the time is got sai kang to do,
for eg: next day got major exercise, previous day at nite must load stores onto tonners, fill up 40 jerry cans for the whole coy (my platoon always kena this) etc etc...
route march there will be 2,
a 16km n a 32km graduation march
route march is very much the same as bmtc route marches
only that Echo coy is different
they tend to do a lot of extra stuff cos of their commando OC
most welfare coy in SISPEC is definitely Alpha ever since they changed OC -

outfield so-so nia, not xiong not relak cos OC always go by book
but during admin time they wont let u rest 1, nv ever...
glad to have left Charlie...
my BSLC coy was Foxtrot
training was xiong
but admin time they really let us rest
it's a place where i met my best buddies in army
now tink back, i miss Foxtrot... i miss SISPEC... -

Regulars are definitely expected to foot out that bit more and extra of course. How much regulars and nsfs get paid? That's the difference. As a regular trainee in sispec, expect to take on more ic roles. So while inside, don't kpkb why you get arrowed all the time. Simply put, you're a regular.
