It's these fellows who make life hard for others. What's wrong with slinging the rifle everywhere?Originally posted by fudgester:Ouch.
Reminds me of when one of my men lost his rifle in the jungles of Kanchanaburi, Thailand, in the middle of the night. He simply sidled up to me and casually told me that he had misplaced his rifle.
Everyone went into panic mode and searched for the rifle. Meanwhile, that fella was simply lazing on his butt, not seeming to care at all.
When I asked him, 'Hey, aren't you the least bit concerned about your rifle'?
He sneered at me, 'Does it look as though I care?!?!?!'
If it wasn't for the ATEC assessors who were all over the place, I would really have blasted him right on the spot.
Luckily his rifle was found.... Nonetheless, I gave him the greatest tongue-lashing in the history of mankind once we reached camp.
why his PC kana demoted to CPL ? Didn't ensure that the weapon was recovered or also bocup ?Originally posted by Marco_Simone:Anyone knows of the case of lost weapon outfield?

POP mood liao. But we really learnt it the hard way.Originally posted by wuming78:hm.. for not marching properly you should have been given a defaulter's parade, rather than any personalised style of punishment. at least the defaulter's parade involved the "wrong" you all did, while the punishment you all went through was simply a tekan session. well.. it's commanders like these who contribute to NS and SAF's bad name...
Service Chief can recommend a decommission and the CDF can approve it as a representative of the President.Originally posted by tarutaru:Maybe that PC is still a 2LT

at night before i slept, i unscrewed the muzzle and washer and kept them in my pocket; took out the magzine and kept it in my SBO; then slept with my head on the SBO, rifle under part of my body and slinged. never once kanna stolen.Originally posted by SpecOps87:any recommendations of hw to best secure arms when outfield?

Hmm.. A bit extreme to do that. Moreover, the chance of losing the muzzle and washer are higher by doing that. Most importantly, it defeat the purpose of field operation.Originally posted by wuming78:at night before i slept, i unscrewed the muzzle and washer and kept them in my pocket; took out the magzine and kept it in my SBO; then slept with my head on the SBO, rifle under part of my body and slinged. never once kanna stolen.![]()
