Force to donate to AHM.

anyone read today straits times forum? got this guy wrote to the papers complaining that they are force to donate to the Army Half Marathon. i wonder what will happen to him

i was forced to donate a minimum of $12.

This is not the first time it happened in the SAF. Way back while I was still a NSF 1992-94, my unit 'force' us, poor MT-line drivers to donate. Those who fail to hit a certain 'target' will be heavily mark. Not to mention signing extra duties.....
Now if they still dare to do this to me ( as a NSmen ), I'll make sure someone, probably a officer, will lose his/her job! -

one day off for those who donate $20+ and 2 days off for those who donated $50.
personally i think this is stupid, using money to buy offs. -

But perhaps what made the difference is that the few of us were FMN Project Specs and we were on course then.And the OC was our course OC.Our own branch heads were quite free and easy about it
And yes, I get the part about the CSM confining people unofficially.It's just mean.
Oh well, play by ear.That's the best IMHO. -
