Platoon IC

In my section. Bed 1 to 4 had already been PLT ic before. Then today they choose someone from bed 12. They skipped my bed. Is there something wrong with me? Does my instructors hate me or something?
Btw i am a IPPT gold holder. -

They put you as platoon IC on the week of ex nutcracker. Your nuts might crack so, I'll pray hard if I were you.

For crying out loud - it's just platoon i/c. Don't tell me you cry yourself to sleep every night just because you didn't get to be one.
I know I'm harsh on you.... but that's the plain and simple truth. -
coincidence lah. just nice that the 1st 3 ICs are from your section in running order of bed number somemore. come on, other people from other sections also can be platoon IC what, not just your section.

since you say platoon ic, not platoon sergeant or sect comd, i believe you are in BMT, rite?
ok, so if your bed is skipped, can have many reasons,
1). Reserve best for last (i.e. you can be PL IC maybe towards last few weeks where its REALLY the time to show out!)
2). Maybe they want you to be store IC, or other ICs, etc...cleaning toilet IC... also the same lah...
3). Or even you have IPPT gold, you NEVER show out any team spirit in your section and also never "lead" or help out ur section mates, or that in JC or poly or etc, you dun have good CCA, like uniform groups, military bands etc..NCC, blah blah...so you are NOT highlighted to take up any posts.
REMEMBER that if you got no chance to show out your skills in IC posts, very HIGHLY you will not be shortlisted for OCS, SISPEC, or any better posts...
NEXT time volunteer more ahh...

Sometimes, not being Platoon IC might be a better thing. -
but if not having a chance to be Pl IC, then you got no chance to let people assess you, esp. your PS and PC, so they cannot write something good to your docket and subsequently you wont be recommended to OCS? or SISPEC?

Wah lao, take a chill. There are other ways to show your potential.
But no offense, it might be because you think a tad highly of yourself, hence why people don't want you leading. You feeling the need to say that you got IPPT Gold says you are either insecure or boastful. Or both. Not necessarily what the instructors are looking for.
Be humble, show leadership by be good, but assist the weaker and not lord it over others.
Don't worry about it. Your turn will come. Just do the right thing. -
u all last time is PS appoint the IC or the platoon nominate one?
during my time, the PC and PS like to appoint those got leardership qualities one and those quiet quiet type, to give them a chance to overcome their shyness and participate more.
they don't select those f**k-up, bo chup type. -
relac lar....is only PL IC what. Sometime is a bliss not to get any appointment. Remember the higher your rank/appt the more shit load of work you get...just like me...
