forget about it u r not going to get a downgrade beware keep looking for reason to downgrade u maybe charge for maligneringOriginally posted by jonalim:but how do i go abt getting a downgrade? the x-ray didnt show anything but its tissue inflammation
Now why should that be, if his case (and pain) is genuine? He could potentially damage the tissue permanently if he doesn't try.Originally posted by tarutaru:forget about it u r not going to get a downgrade beware keep looking for reason to downgrade u maybe charge for malignering
what are you trying to put thru? my case is real anyway...how can they anyhow charge an injured soldier ? value of "care for soldiers" is not there at all?? seriously, i dunno y u are saying i am "looking for reason to downgrade".....Originally posted by tarutaru:forget about it u r not going to get a downgrade beware keep looking for reason to downgrade u maybe charge for malignering
Tarutaru, please do not speculate on his case any further.I have a similar problem and each of the MOs I have seen across three army camps and 2 Formations have said it is possible to downgrade.Originally posted by jonalim:what are you trying to put thru? my case is real anyway...how can they anyhow charge an injured soldier ? value of "care for soldiers" is not there at all?? seriously, i dunno y u are saying i am "looking for reason to downgrade".....
It not that but according to the medical classification there is no downgrading for flat feet.Originally posted by jonalim:what are you trying to put thru? my case is real anyway...how can they anyhow charge an injured soldier ? value of "care for soldiers" is not there at all?? seriously, i dunno y u are saying i am "looking for reason to downgrade".....
but pls bear in mind tat there are many different variations of flat feet...jus like other conditions.....Originally posted by tarutaru:It not that but according to the medical classification there is no downgrading for flat feet.
Correct. But downgrades are possible for symptoms that occur as a result of flat feet or cases that lead to flat feet.Originally posted by tarutaru:It not that but according to the medical classification there is no downgrading for flat feet.
the prob is tat x- ray didnt show anything wrong coz its tissue inflammation..Originally posted by LazerLordz:Correct. But downgrades are possible for symptoms that occur as a result of flat feet or cases that lead to flat feet.
How many x-rays did you undergo?I underwent a total of 8 x-rays on all sides of the foot.Twice and fought my case across BMTC Med Center to ARC Med Center till Nee Soon Med Center.Originally posted by jonalim:the prob is tat x- ray didnt show anything wrong coz its tissue inflammation..
how am i gg to make a case to the SAF MO?
did u go for e checkup yourself or ask SAF MO to refer u?Originally posted by LazerLordz:How many x-rays did you undergo?I underwent a total of 8 x-rays on all sides of the foot.Twice and fought my case across BMTC Med Center to ARC Med Center till Nee Soon Med Center.
It's not easy.Because my flat foot was not detectable during pre NS checkup. And it was a case of some bone spur deformity in the sole.
I would suggest that maybe u can asked the MO to revocate or to temp downgrade........Originally posted by jonalim:did u go for e checkup yourself or ask SAF MO to refer u?
for me, its hard eh...coz i only went for 1 sesion
Injured and tore my ligament.BMTC MO referred me to CGH, I told him I will seek AH because referral date is too near POP.Originally posted by jonalim:did u go for e checkup yourself or ask SAF MO to refer u?

Lazerlordz as I stated b4 you were downgraded most likely is to torn ligament which is downgradable but not for flat feet as jonalim is suffering. I understand that flat feet people occassionally have pain after prolong standing or walking but still it is not downgradable. But torn ligament is at least a Pes C2 that's the reason why many of our national soccer players are at least C2 as torn ligament are common in a sport like soccer. Btw you guys should understand that the MB follow strictly to Pes grading red book, if the board should give a Pes grading not stated or lower than the book suggest, the CO of MCC will rejected the case and the case have to be reboarded. Also even jonalim was downgraded for flat feet, he would still have to go through BMT again regardless he is Pes A/B or C, ps Flat Feet definitely no Pes E. He still have to endure the pain of prolong standing or route march. Suggestion to jonalim is that maybe u can ask MO to excuse you whenever you needed for certain activities. You also can also ask the board to suggest to let you avoid certain vocation.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Injured and tore my ligament.BMTC MO referred me to CGH, I told him I will seek AH because referral date is too near POP.
I went to AH as a private patient, subsequently I followed up with my specialists letters to the MOs at the camps I went to.
Hey TaruTaru, if I was nasty or harsh to you earlier..I apologize.![]()
