for your medical admin stuff?
i dun know if anyone actually "enlists" into CMPB..... but usually go there for admin stuff, unless u confirm clerk, or RP/MP etc.
but u dun get posted to CMPB straight for enlistment. heck, i think u just bring yourself. you dun even need to stay in -

then found out their mistake, phone me, tell me i am not going in on friday, and tell me to wait for next obese enlistment.

Tell u lah,me when inside army,i did something wrong once,supposed to be kenna charge a long time ago b4 i ORD but OC and CSM totally forgot about the case,so thought they did not want to pursue the matter already,then about 30 days b4 i ORD,they suddenly remember and charge me for it.Kenna 21 Days SOL (Stoppage of leave),lan lan all my leave gone liao just like that. Everyone in battalion book out for most of that month to clear theirs while i stay back in camp.Sux feeling sia.So hor me like u,i got a one week notice.Come out that time also being "requested" to sign some statement to say that i had actually cleared my leave voluntarily.lan lan lor,going to ORD leh and nothing to say about them ler,just sign and go peacefully. -

army is like that lah hhahaaa u only receive one week notice ah LOL last time i finish my poly wait for 9 mths then got enlisted,i call then ask them why i have not enlisted they told me they don't know LOL, aiya u enlist fast ,faster ORD Loh u enlisted late ,later then ord now army only 2 yrs gd liao mah.

One week ? Wait till you hear about my friend.
My friend was celebrating his birthday , he received his NS enlistment letter and guess when he was enlisted ? The next day. No kidding , that puts a stop to his birthday celebration. I can remember how shitty feeling he felt after reading the letter. After being in the army for 1 and a half years , all I can say and agree with others is that the organisation is screwed up but other then time flew passed very fast for me. I enjoyed the good, bad and ugly times of SAF. Cannot wait to ORD. -
after seeing all those cock-ups listed here, i wonder who handle all this enlistment matters? NSF clerks? man, if really that's the case, i suggest they have position for people to sign on as regular clerks, just think, a SSG clerk.

Just enjoy it ba, when the day u ORD, u will look back on the past 2 yrs, wat 'fun' u had. when guys who orded meet up, the topics will somehow move to the days in the army.
I got about 2 mths of notice for my enlistment, letter came in jun 2002, enlisted in aug 2002. But I OOC after 1 mth. So my recourse was on the day of my birthday in 2003 (tats was sucky, super low morale). 1 of my frens wait for 6mths b4 he got enlist.
SAF will always be f up, cos there will be some1 who make life diffcult for u. I was at Nee Soon Camp, and I had the so call 'luck' to look at how SAF spend their money as I was in the S3 section. -

Your case like what some of em have advised no harm call CMPB and try ask if they can help u ...
What to bring? Dun worry the army provides all things neccessary ..
Some things u can consider is:
UNDERWEAR (must)
slippers
black tape
shower foam (will help)
sleeping clothes
clothes hangers
LOCK (must)
alarm clock
afraid that cannot take it? dun worry BMT is a basic phase where thier job is to make your crossing over from civilian to soldier. The staff there will help u in developing u mentally and physically.
U cannot grow mentally and physically stronger if u dun get the required training rite. As for mentally preparing yourself?
I think of it as, i have to do it one day , why not tomorrow ... just be positive and go in ... u will see that u are not alone in your doubts and almost all are the same ...

Such outrages errors, you can lodge a complain and request for a later posting date...CMPB is usually quite accomodative as compared once you are in the unit. Difference is that CMPB is more PR oriented headed mainly by DXO while unit is hiercy headed by commissioned officers who cannot be bothered as it is their Compulsory Appointment.
