If your MO decides to play God with your reports, try to see another MO at another camp, say when you are attached out or something.Originally posted by hisoka:erm i only know go and find specialist to go and help you write letter.
if really got things wrong with you btu the MO never give face then go and find your MP bah
Ic... but for my brother's case is that... the 1st MO has already written a report to another MO in the next camp he went to and what happens is that the report has something to do with "Chao Keng" one. That's why no matter which MO it is... unless... U know what? the worse ever thing is that when he calls up the hotline... The thing actually went down to the MO and S1 (Coz he's in S1 branch that time). He is accused of being mentally impaired and sent for mental check-up every wk... *I forgot which camp he went to for the mental check-up.. but it's for all the mental problem ppl*Originally posted by LazerLordz:If your MO decides to play God with your reports, try to see another MO at another camp, say when you are attached out or something.
If while in BMTC, let your superiors know what you have in detail,so that the MO can be further convinced.I had a OCT ( DR) who was an absolute ass, till my specialist sort of screwed him over the phone.
IIRC, that douche bag is now a staff medical officer in the RSAF.
it definitely works but then you must get referred there first. anyway i read the thign i think you jsut have to insist one they ask you to retract you must grit your teeth and dun get forced cos if not you will have to suffer if really go mp also cannot then go write to pm president and go internet and newspaper lor use the power of the media and publicity if you have to... btu thats the last straw i guessOriginally posted by kuekj:I just wonder if a MO referral to Military Medicine Institute will workBeing at MMI for my NS I see many orthopaedic cases coming to us, and sometimes medical boards are held. I've seen many people with difficulty walking coming for medical board despite being at MMI for just 2 weeks only.
Yup i think so~ but i dun wan the same problem to lies on me... so i wanna get myself prepared. Coz i know my back more than anyone... if i strain it too much... i'll end up in operation too... and if that happens...Originally posted by tarutaru:some cases are more straight forward
yah... but my brother has already went through it once... he got ruined... that's why i'm concern abt it... becoz i know i had Back problem... I'm sure not all specialise are accepted by them... especially the pte hospital ones... there muz be some specialise that they respect and recognised... I wonder where are they...Originally posted by oxford mushroom:If you have letters from specialists, your MO will arrange for medical board. Regardless of which specialist you get, it is the Medical Board that will decide on PES grading. There are lots of orthopaedic surgeons in the SAF, including the Chief of Medical Corps himself. So if they disagree with the specialist outside, they can overrule.
BTW, there is a secret book by which the SAF MOs decide on PES grading. The grading given reflects the kind of activity MOST patients with the condition can handle. Some people suay suay will have a condition that is not downgradable by the secret book but can be worsened by physical activity. I also suffer from a joint problem that got worse after NS. During army, they say cannot downgrade 'cos not bad enough....by the time I ROD it was so bad that I have to undergo operations and they downgraded me, after I have gone through all the shit.
What to do? Accept your fate lor....who ask you to be born Singaporean male instead of foreign talent?
SGH got good doctors but u need to pay for your own MRIOriginally posted by joeacid:Anyone knows? one any doctors from SGH, NUH, TTS, AH, SATA?
wah... but that one too "Special" doctor le wor~ u sure it's possible?Originally posted by oxford mushroom:Whichever doctor you go to the medical board will make up its own mind. If you are looking for a specialist that the Medical Board will most likely agree with, it will have to be a senior SAF MO.
The Chief of Medical Corps, BG (Dr) Wong Yue Sie is a Visiting Consultant at SGH Department of Orthopaedics. You make appointment to see him...if he agrees to downgrade you, I guarantee no SAF MO will disagree..
I don't see why not as long as you are willing to payOriginally posted by joeacid:wah... but that one too "Special" doctor le wor~ u sure it's possible?
