Has anyone tried fitting m203 on it, does it have a silencer as well?

There is a M203,SAR21 combo...but its still in the prototype...testing stage. Silencer wise...I don't suppose so.

my time it was still 2.5G army ... M-16S1s ....
my i think logistics were much more simplified then, every weapon uses the same mags, M-16s, grenadiers, even the SAWs ..... right now i see some using the spanking new SAR-21s with their plastic mags and grenadiers and SAW gunners using the old M-16 mags ..... does this make sense ? ....
and they were saying that singapore technologies doesn't have a captive market in the SAF ? ...
and any lefties over here ? ... how is the ejector port problem solved now ? ....
in the M-16S1 you can put an ejector guard over the weapon ... but in anycase since the ejector port is well forward of your face it doesn't really matter .... what about the SAR 21 then ? .... it seems to me someone goofed while designing the weapon ... -
With the SAR21,all shooters are trained to shoot with the right hand.

There is also a shotgun and sniper version but so far no one have seen them yet except for a select few like me.

There is also a Sharpshooter SAR21 with a 3.5x scope compare to the normal 1.5x scope.

ADF using the SAR21 with Pictany Rail? Guess they dun need the LAD,haha,since that model somes with red-dot reflex sights.haha

Well, you gotta bear in mind that the SAR21 MMS is designed primarily for Urban Ops. So while it weighs slightly more than a standard SAR21, you won't be going on ruote-marches and jungle-bashing with the MMS. MMS stands for modular mounting system. And as the name implies, you can attach different components to it as the operation requires. The "standard" components however, include a video-cam for round-corner-firing and an internal laser sight. All showcased during this year's Carnival@Marina. -
Sharpshooter is 2X. 3.5X would be too much of a compromise in accuracy already. Sounds ironic but true. That's because of you hit off-target, the off distance would be magnified 3.5X. Basically the SAR-21 is a piece of shit. Don't know who designed it 1. If during wartime the scope kenna damaged, ho seh liao, good luck man!!! After a few exercises, the screw under the LAD will loosen. Everytime have to screw it tightly. The lens of the scope will get foggy, some kenna a permanent stain on it. The batteries for the LAD have to be taken out everytime after sending in the arms. Designers will always be designers, they didn't anticipate the troubles the soldiers have after that.

can't believe that they said that this gun is made of lightweight polymers....M-16 has been battle tested in the vietnam war and thats where they improved its drawbacks...the SAR21 is not....when conditions get bad...i seriously doubt that the SAR21 will have lesser stoppages or even chamber explosions comapred to the M-16....

The extra weight from the SAR-21 i believe comes from that extra piece of kevlar thats supposed to protect the firer's face from chamber explosions.
I think it would be smarter for SAF to outfit every infantry man, guardsman with the picatinny / modular version of the SAR-21. Thats what the US is doing with their M-16 A4. -

I know the SAR21 has its faults, but from my own experience, the bolt carrier group is cleaner.
Another thing - the added weight is from the LAD and scope, which is equal to a m16 with additional LAD and scope.
Anybody has actual experience of using the SAR21 in Brunei conditions including river crossings?
