hey ppl during my commandos VA yesterday i think i performed very well..the IQ test was easy for me and i passes the physical and medical tests with flying clours~ (i think i performed the best among them) i also expressed my interest to join cdos to the officer...he was quite impressed by my physical strength and academic performance...how high is my chance of getting into commandos?

dun worry so much bro... if they want you in you will definitely be in... if they dun want u, no matter how well you perform they also dun wan you one...
i have friends who say they wanna get in, but they didn't get in and vice versa..
hmmm...by the way.. ignore those people saying commando is a hell camp.. yes.. no doubt the training is tougher, but if you have a positive mindset.. everything will be ok..and you get to learn alot of stuffs that not eveyone can learn

but really to my surprise majority of the guys who went for the VA that day could not even do up to 5 chin ups, i did 15 chin ups and 70 push ups and that was considered the best performance... and majority of them wear spects....i think commando standard really drop liao...

Please leh, when I went for that VA, i couldn't do 2 chin ups nor 20 push ups.

I went for the VA but expressed no interest in joining them. Good thing too, otherwise I end up mono-intake, which I don't want.

Your expressing interest means nothing to them. Here's how my interview went:
Sargeant: "So, do you want to join Commandos?"
Yours truly: "Do I have a choice?"
"No"
"So what the f*** are you asking me for?"
I got in anyway. In hindsight, having 27 chin-ups on my NAFA record was what probably did me in.

Swear on my beloved grandmother's grave that's what happened on my interview, and I still have my beret. As it turns out, that's exactly the attitude they were looking for at the time, and just as well. Looking back at my service, if I'd been sent to a rank-and-file unit, I'd have been bored to death.
