well here is it....what 35 SCE have gone through and how we got RECON1 is all said in the photos...
here we are gathered on 29th sep05 at changi airport at 0100hrs flight TG8184 to Kamphangsaen airbase...all were excited in this photo but we do not know what lies ahead of us.....

the 2nd one is the place where we bathed...no shower...and sometimes there is no water...wtf.... -

ok now the intro to the equipment....this is a 7-ton with an inner pontoon
this one has a ramp behind it(FYI the veh in the pic is mine...

this one here however has a tugboat behind it which propels the raft

so after handing/taking over the stores/equipment plus checks for servicability we then headed on into the canteen for a short break...
(FYI the person circled is the "bapok" of the canteen and "her" name is jenny)

next day came out 1st component training...the weather at that point of time was damn hot...worst thing is that we can't buy canned drinks from the vendors(wtf?!! Y my OC no life one)
soon the Candace platoon constructed their 1st Raft successfully(IMO the candace raft is a waste of time/manpower as it can only ferry rovers...max a small Dozer)
soon ours too is up....

I am impressed by the cleaniless and organisation of the canteen. Maybe times have changed... how are the canteens in other parts of Asia where we train in ? During my time, canteens were like a hut with rotten furniture !
