B Veh Tech Posted To Mindef...ZZZZ

  Just curious to find out why a technician would actually be posted to Mindef which according to my superiors doesn't even have a workshop.I received this posting just before leaving OETI but was wondering if I would merely be re-posted after my period of on-job experience to a base.
  
  Btw,what is the job scope of GS-Mindef(Mindef General Staff?) anyway?

  There are techs in MINDEF.But most of them are next door at 5SIR.Some remain in MINDEF itself, I mean, there are MINDEF vehicles to maintain too..
  
  I wouldn't say it's a tough job.It is in fact much better than being posted to an Infantry or Armor BN etc...Just open your eyes and go in with an open mind.
