Assume nothing, expect anything.

from an SCDF personel,
expect a whole lot of pain on your skin. take a deep breath before releasing your mask and canister. if u feel the choking effect while wearing the canister, give 2 hard blows from your mouth to expell the gas inside. maybe your canister is expired.
when the tear gas is breathed in, u feel your saliva is clogging up and u just feel like throwing up.
your eyes hurt like hell. your skin burns like needles poking your skin
how serious the effect is depends on the amount of tear gas tablet they burn. the worst i've endured is 10 tablets at one shot. -

NSman and not specialised unit more likely can suit up wirh mask first...
drills... should be IA, ID, shixting drill(no kidding), canister change, drinking...haha

for me, they just dump all the tablets left over... coz last detail... then suddenly the whole place smoke out... -

just remember NOT to rush towards the tap once you're out of the room, or it WILL be as bad as described.
and bring lots of money. a mobile canteen van drives around the area. the chicken rice was rather nice. wanton mee looked good too. -

It's that uncle who drives his van around. If you having range, he;ll be there, if you having the gas chamber thingie, he can be there too. He knows there will be exercises around because the very people who patronise him are the ones who tell him so. Come to think of it, I miss the mee kiao tah.

In Gas Chamber, the gas emmited usually is CS gas.
It is something like pepper spray, but more powerful. as we know that pepper spray only have effect on the point of contact. as for CS, as long as any part of the body kana, it will spray upwards. as for feeling wise. your skin feel likes being poke by needles, esp more painful when your pores are open. your eyes wont be able to open, and u be crying like someone important to u had pass away, your muclus will flow like one long lasting river. Some ppl have the choking effect on the throat, and this do not apply to all ppl. some ppl dont feel that. -
I think the uncle is on Mindef's training programme mailing list. Either that or he has hacked into the system. . After exiting the chamber, we took 5 mins break before clearing SOC (SOC ground was a close to gas Chamber) with suit and mask on ... face was burning from sweat. Guess which camp was it! -
I kena all the shitting/urinating drill, eating drill, drinking drill. I find it rather stupid because there is only 1 decon glove and during shitting drill you have to decon your ass and after that you have to use the same decon glove to decon your face during the gas mask changing drill..

if it is to be a proper fam, then it should include all that you have described and more, for everyone.
so actually, i dont understand why there is still a need to retain this module, if all we know is how to don the suit, but not how to fight in it. -
The chamber is just to expose you to some of the possible effects of chemical warfare. (Also let you know how bullshit movies are... tear gas come, everything also start flowing, how to continue shooting and rolling around man...)
It also allows you to test if you've worn your suit correctly, allows you to note where you're likely to oversee (once you feel the sting...)
Actually now they've got a Gas-Mask shooting programme at the rifle range and its being practiced for infantry guys as well. Funny thing i had perfect score at night but not in the day lol...
Engineers from various units out of the formation are also encouraged to attend the Chemical Defence Package training that SCE conducts, for these personnel to become kinda like the SME for their unit and to advise their Commanders subsequently on how to improve the know-how and effectiveness of the Chem-def gear they have.

Oh jumping jacks not tekan... is to make u go through full range of bodily movements and see if any leak occurs (from not wearing properly). If u want you can do push ups and sit ups
Its true, don't wash your face immediately after you come out. Just air your face and body... let the tears and mucus flow. If you wipe or scratch, your skin's gonna get contaminated even more and its gonna really burn then. The sensation shouldn't last long in the air, especially if got a nice breeze going on.
Make sure you clean your equipment thoroughly after the chamber tho... any residue of that powder's gonna make u burn on contact again...
