PTE or OCT higher rank??

  PTE is a rank, trainee is a trainee.

  let say a 3SG go OCS for conversion, his rank (3SG) will be striped off right?

  As long as you're on course to attain a higher rank, you're a trainee under training, rank is invisible.

  I think as long someone is your instructor, your rank is virtually useless.
  
  isn't this the case for Unarmed Combat? The instructors are obviously not officers, but the PCs have to attend the lesson also.

  if you're an OCT, you're an OCT. Officer Cadet Trainee.
  
  Trainees will have no rank irregardless if you're a PTE or MAJ. if you get what I mean

  The only thing an OCT is bigger than is a recruit. Thats all... Wait before u pass out from OCS before trying to play rank with ur friends who went sispec lar. Right now they will just laugh at ur white stripes.

  since both are trainees and aiming to get higher rank after the course (CPL after BSLC for SISPEC 'trainees') .. why OCT no rank but SISPEC 'trainees' have rank?

  oct course is different, all wear that white stripes. you do not see any other rank there, not even private.
  
  you can be any NON com. rank, you are not allowed to wear any rank until you are out of the course period including book out.. when passed out you wear the officer rank.

  Phase 3 OOC = 3SG
  
  Phase 2 OOC = CPL
  
  Phase 1 OOC = LCP
  
  This information if outdated please correct me.
  
  Last time used to do IDS duties...but must treat OCTs with respect since most of them will pass out as officers

  Aikes last time i scolded an OCT for smoking in the toilet...when he attended course in my camp...i even use the word WTF at him....

  OCTs have to respect the rank of the people above them.And if they commit a mistake,their future rank is no protection against any punishment.

  it's just a strange thing. 1 moment i'm bringing this OCT for prowling during guardduty, a few months later i see him come back as Duty Officer.

  they have to because, they will be the one ordering soldiers to fight in the front and shot any derserters on the spot no matter how tough the battle and HQ order is.
