  Professionalism is about doing your job well and respecting the other fellow.Different vocations are taxing in different ways but all are vital.
  
  And let's just say I hold those Guardsmen in high esteem when they did not try to throw smoke bombs when we do investigation on their mortars.One pissed me off greatly when he swaggered in and behaved as he were a Plt.Sgt in our workshop and starting to order my juniors around the place.I gave him a subtle lesson in sarcasm by telling my juniors that they have better things to do in the office and the unit should unload their own weapons as we are not their slaves.

  BMTC to OCS is definitely easier than from NDU to OCS loh.. think abt it... cos standards are different.
  
  then wad i heard from my PC who eventually was my batch boy is that when they pass out from OCS those who din wear specs were told to go for some chkup. and from they they pick a few to NDU loh.

  even for nsf who went to bmtc to ocs can come to NDU?
  i thot that bmtc to ocs then to NDU applied more for regulars

  i think differ from year to year... batch to batch.. but i think if u volunteer, they won't stop u..

  Hi, just checking, not all people who are enlisted to the Naval Diving Unit are not bound to be Navy Divers right . so approx. how many people per intake and how many will make it as navy divers ? and those who does not make the cut, what will they still be in the divers unit or will they just be posted to some other parts of the Navy ?

  Yup.
  The attrition rate is high.
  People will be dropped out of the program during training.
  Those dropped,
  will be "recycled" to the mainstream navy fleet.
  Dropped could be due to medical reasons or performance.

  now the intake cut down to one per year(used to be 2)
  so probably quite big intake.
  
  as to percentage being cut, every batch different la but sure got one haah

  one of my relatives who is a NDU instructor recently got married and had his wedding dinner at marriott hotel (26 nov), any chance u ndu guys got attend his wedding?

  The next batch will be very big with approx 180 intake..drop out rate depends on how ur batch perform..
