interesting question on enlistment

  hi, i was wondering if you can enter the army even before 18.
  
  if someone cannot manage to defer his enlistment into the army as he wants to study overseas, is there a way for him to enter the army earlier than usual?
  
  Since a male has to enter university and study before he reaches 17 and 1/2 to defer his enlistment, and even if he can only enter the university 1 month after he turned 17 and a half, he is still unable to be deferred. therefore, if he wishes to immediately serve NS, which is definitely even before JC term ends, will he be able to serve NS in that year?

  There is a scheme that lets anyone enlist when they're 16.5 years old. Not too sure about details though.
