Will it be very tiring? Where do we sleep as we r nt provided camp Pins to build a Basha. Heard from my frens its 3 days 2 night.
Rockhound, its not the ASLC Grandslam but the BSLC.
And regarding Operation NutCracker, need sm tips from the expert too.
so its how many days and nights and how mani ppl to dig the trench and do we dig only the trench or need to dig our own shellscrape as well like wat we did in BMT? -
Grandslam is easier than Nutcracker in my opinion, at least it was for me.
dont even think about building basha or what from now on lah. whenever you go outfield means sleep anywhere also can la, even if you really allowed to build shelter it would most prob be juz a ground sheet tied above to keep away the rain.
Grandslam is about harbouring, meaning 1/3 alert at all times meaning 1/3 of the platoon will be on alert (cannot sleep) while the rest catch some rest.
rest usually means to stay at your assigned position but u no need to be on alert lah. section by section will be dispatched out for patrols and/or ambushes, standard fare. thats about all.
EXERCISE (not operation) nutcracker involves defence operation, meaning shellscrape and trench digging, and some defence ops routine loh. the hard part is the digging part loh, pray that it dun rain, otherwise you'll be digging water instead

how may people to dig depends on the OC. in my time 3 person required to come up with 3 shellscrapes (one each) and 1 trench. that was the only complete trench i ever dug in my NSF days.
EXERCISE is training parts la, OPERATION is the real thing, hence got to distinguish between the two.

actuually really depend on your company one lah.
some company OCs trust the PC to do the job well but the PC ended up giving you all slack. hahaha
some PC is just there to fulfill their tour but they are nothing close to infantry trained.. so they dunno anything about what you are about to be trained for. ahah -

sleep anywhere la...doubt u sleep anywaes need to stay up and jaga ure platoon apexs.......u setting up temp harbour...u lucky if u get to open groundsheet.....say good bye to sleeping in bashas.....time to get uncomfortable...cos u will always be kept uncomfortable..
nutcracker...can say goodbye to ure sleep....2 nites u dig...dig and dig...heng i complete my firetrench on first nite cos both me and buddy were psychos...
