  how to get the leather to be damn soft?./...i bought the super old all-leather SAF boots that was issued abt 10 plus years ago...

  yeah...1st hand ones are kinda hard to find but found them anywaes....40bucks...wanted another chiong sua boot....and i have a falling out with my goretex ones...ehehhehe..i found the old ones are pretty good and light.....just want them to be softer on the ankles..

  40 bucks? 2 years i checked at beach road is $75, few months back is $65. its getting cheaper and cheaper.
  
  anyway, because it's leather, u'll need to season it before it become comfortable. wearing it for a week will do the trick.

  i see some platoon mates using kiwi then water but when i tried it, it seems to take ages before i see 10% of the shine. their's look as if they sprayed nail polish or glossy black paint on it.

  Which type of parade boots you talking about? The hard toe cap one (with metal plates on the sole) or standard issue boots?
  
  If its the former use kilat, but need a bit of skill to make it even. If its the latter then regular kiwi and hand power can liao.
