All NSmen should be given free medical check up yearly! If there is a need for NSmen to be fit and operational ready. Shouldn't the government also make sure that all is medically fit after so many years, older and spare parts failure? Don't just make us do IPPT, make sure we are ok to take it!

Medical checkups and FFIs should be done by external doctors rather than SAF medics.
No offence to all the SAF medical personnel, but my personal experience with SAF medics and docs were not very reassuring. The docs will always under-diagnose and are more inclined to think that soldiers are malingering. I believe its not the docs fault that they behave this way, its pressure from the SAF. When there's strict hierachy involved, its hard to do your job. -

By the way I attend my RT recently at khati camp the PTI overall was quite friendly & the training was not really tough but enough to make you feel shack. What I feel overall is that remedial training might be a waste of time becos of our family or work commitment but it still have a good point is that to minus the excess fats on our body.
