It is safe to ignore SAF100 issued before my posting to IHL. Any bros encounter this situation before? i.e receiving saf100-->applying for deferment due to studies-->posted to IHL.

When you apply to IHL, you should not need to apply for a deferment.It's automatic if you have gained admission to the IHL.
But if you have not started school, please call up the Manpower Branch to clarify.And CMPB too.
