wow i didnt know medic also need to go thru sispecOriginally posted by Rockhound:i noe that there is an intake for Combat Medic Specs for the 38th BSLC batch...
now they need.......The warrants in SMM are unhappy that medics are treated as 2nd class soldiers and wants their sergeants to be bslc trained like all other vocation sergeants except logistic ones...Originally posted by thoreldan:wow i didnt know medic also need to go thru sispec
MRF pending uh...but i dont see y not.....its all up to the encik....MRF is a 'Unit' by its own theyre specialists in their own field....all will ORD as 3rd sergeants....but some will be spec 2 trained....systems will always change...Originally posted by Gordonator:it used to be they promoted medic men to 3SG if they are selected for spec II course. same goes for MRF too.
but now the system i heard is they will directly send BSLC CPLs to SMM now. does that apply for MRF too? no more MRF men promoted to 3SG?![]()
agree with this...Originally posted by Rockhound:now they need.......The warrants in SMM are unhappy that medics are treated as 2nd class soldiers and wants their sergeants to be bslc trained like all other vocation sergeants except logistic ones...
i always liked the idea of promoting Men to specialists. at least can have something to look forward to, something to fight for, something like a 2nd chance to be a commander.Originally posted by Rockhound:MRF pending uh...but i dont see y not.....its all up to the encik....MRF is a 'Unit' by its own theyre specialists in their own field....all will ORD as 3rd sergeants....but some will be spec 2 trained....systems will always change...
hmm... i find that SISPEC 3SGs are more capable in handling and managig their men, men will feel that distance between them and their sgts.Originally posted by thoreldan:agree with this...
last time during my active days, got one medic from cpl -> 3SG.
But the men all dont respect him, call him by his name. i think they too used to calling his name before he became a 3SG
Time flies...Originally posted by Rockhound:up to CPC.......heheheeh
depends who taking in next batch...
i noe that there is an intake for Combat Medic Specs for the 38th BSLC batch...

stating your preferred posting
those i can remember are
- sniper
- signaller
- engineer
- armour
but dunno how effective.
theyre gonna phase out the system of combat medics with the advent of the new Spec II system now...we now have changed names to Spec II Alpha cos we're the first batch...MRFl should be having their own Spec II training....Originally posted by CKtalon:If not wrong there are
Modified Spec II course which is for the BSLC trainees (btw, it's longer than ASLC I think)
Spec II for those Combat Medics who at a later date go for the course to become 3SG
MRFs still continue on to go for their SPEC IIs..joining the Combat Medics batch, not the BSLC batch
