Nursing Officer Vocation

  I have heard of Nursing Officer in US Army (see Pearl Harbour movie, Kate Beckinsale is a Lieutanent). And I know for a fact Army nurses are Lieutanents.
  
  But I haven't heard of such a vocation in Singapore......
  
  until i received Dec 2005 Pioneer (i paid 40cents for it).... turn to page 4 the bottom right picture.
  
  A female officer wearing a Red Cross Brassard.
  
  Can anyone confirm if Nursing officer exists in Singapore??

  Of cos they exist but most of them are in HQMCs or Divsion lvl and some of them are NuSAF

  They of course exist. In the chain of command, after my senior medic, I have to report to my nursing officer.

  Hmm... i haven't got the "honour" of seeing them then, depsite having to go into 9DIV and Nee Soon camp many times.
  
  I all along have been wondering if they exist but I have not heard it. I thought it would be a DXO vocation.
  
  But never see Recruitment Centre advertising for such vocations.
  
  Perhaps they advertise it in Poly Nursing courses.

  I believe in that pic, the lady is LTA Tan. She is a Nursing Officer I think; and of course she IS Chio!!

  There are male nursing officers.. ok, i've seen one before, looks in his 40s, and an LTA.

  at SMM @ Nee Soon Camp,
  
  there are 2 female nursing officers, namely LTA Laura Tham and 2LT Tan Tai Shen. if not wrong, the former is the OC of BTW and the latter is the CC for Basic Combat Medic Course.
